Friends Gathering for A Cause

 In news_events

Last Saturday, A group of 11 friends in Napa gathered at the build site on Saratoga Drive for an experience they wouldn’t soon forget. Nancy DeMerritt, a Napa resident, called up some of her closest friends to participate in a Team Habitat Experience, donating $1,000 to help a local family’s dream come true.

“I’ve wanted to participate in a Habitat for Humanity home build since the organization was founded, so when I learned of the first Napa house, I was eager to be involved,” said DeMerritt.  “I recruited my husband and a bunch of close friends to join my team and they all said yes!”

The hard-working group was comprised of Napa Valley men and women with age ranges spanning five decades. The group did a fabulous job and helped build the second floor of the home.

“None of us had ever done anything like this before, and we all loved it,” said DeMerritt.

A big thank you to the DeMerritt Crew for their generous spirit and talents! Take a look below at some of the photos from their Team Habitat Experience, and click here to learn more about how your group can participate in your very own Team Habitat!
