Building new homes and repairing existing ones that are in need of safety or accessibility repairs are at the heart of what we do. Helping families move out of poverty housing and into their own homes is life-changing for them as well as for the many volunteers who help us.
Statistics prove that home ownership creates economically vibrant communities, improves children’s educational achievements and provides family stability. The stability of a decent, affordable home brings a better quality of life that reaches far beyond bricks and mortar.

Napa Repair Project

Eric Sprague is a Vietnam Veteran and a retired electrician living in Napa.  SNHFH worked to repair his home so he can “age in place.”  The project included repairs to the sewer lines, the installation of a new roof and gutters, new energy-efficient windows and doors, remodeling the kitchen and bathroom, and painting both the exterior and interior. New Home Build in Fairfield

Our Missouri/Taylor Project in Fairfield is now complete! Two new 1,228 sq. ft. homes were built on a lot that we purchased in 2001 with Community Development Block Grant funds. Read More
