“Paella at the Ranch” was a success!

 In news_events, Uncategorized

We had such a great time on Saturday, May 13th at “Paella at the Ranch – Let’s Build A House!” The celebration, attended by 70 people, was held at L Bar Lazy S Ranch – a new, private estate in Carneros owned by Lori Cook and Steve Juelsgaard. The evening included paella, wine, and a silent and live auction that grossed more than $70,000 and will go towards the final stretch of funds needed to build the first Habitat for Humanity home in Napa.

Our Executive Director Diane Agnone presented State Senator Bill Dodd with an award to acknowledge his support of not only the organization’s work in Napa and Solano Counties, but also his support of affordable housing statewide. Howard Backen and Loren Kroeger, architects of L Bar Lazy S Ranch, also attended the event and spoke to guests about the process they follow to take a client’s vision and transform it into the home of their dreams.

We are thankful to our gracious hosts for allowing us to hold this event in their beautiful new home. Everyone deserves a decent place to live, and we are excited to make the dream of homeownership come true for a deserving, local family!

*Thanks to Mitchell Glotzer for the beautiful photography!
