Board Spotlight: Raffi Boloyan

 In news_events

Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity is proud to welcome Raffi Boloyan, Community Development Director for the City of Dixon, to our Board of Directors. With more than two decades of experience in city planning, Raffi brings a wealth of knowledge in land use, building processes, and site development—skills that will help guide Habitat projects from vision to groundbreaking. “My work focuses on planning, development review, and ensuring projects meet all regulations,” Raffi explained. “I’m excited to apply that experience to Habitat’s mission of providing safe, affordable homes for local families.”

Raffi first connected with Habitat through Dixon leaders and Habitat supporters Jack Batchelor and Herb Cross, who invited him to join the Site Selection & Project Development Committee. After volunteering with that team, he accepted an invitation to join the board. Outside of work, Raffi enjoys camping and fly fishing in the Sierras. His wife teaches at American Canyon High School, his daughter recently graduated from college and returned home to the area, and his son is proudly serving in the U.S. Army, currently stationed in Hawaii. “Family time outdoors is how I recharge,” Raffi said. “It reminds me why stable, welcoming homes are so important for every family.”

Raffi’s commitment to service runs deep. He has served as board president of the American Canyon Community Parks Foundation and believes strongly in giving back. “Owning a home creates stability and pride of ownership,” he said. “Even small Habitat projects can change lives and inspire others in the neighborhood to invest in their own homes. I’m honored to support this work.”

Please join us in welcoming Raffi to the Solano-Napa Habitat family. His expertise and heart for the community will help us continue building homes and hope for years to come.
