How it works
Call Mike Glancy at (707) 863-0692.  Mike will discuss your project and get an idea if it’s a good fit for Habitat ReStore.  If it is a good fit we will schedule an on site visit to verify and discuss your requirements.  You are welcome to invite your remodeler to this meeting.
If we agree to perform the deconstruction, we will schedule it with you and arrange for a crew.
To cover our costs we will ask for a $500.00 donation to Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity.  This covers the labor and transportation costs we incur performing the service.  In exchange you receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donated items.
We do our utmost to make this service quick and convenient to both the contractor and homeowner.
*Solano Napa Habitat for Humanity is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization.  Donations made to our affiliate are deductible to the full extent under the IRS code. Individuals may claim deductions as usual on their 1040 Form per IRS procedures.  Corporations should consult with their accountants for specific rules.  ReStore provides donors with a receipt that meets IRS requirement for a donation to a 501 (c)(3) organization.  It is up to the donor to determine and report to the IRS the value of the item donated.
**We do ask for a $500 donation to Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity to recover our costs.  *Typically the tax-deduction benefit to the homeowner is larger than your donation.  The donation cost is typically far less than the charges to deconstruct and dispose on your project by your remodel contractor.
