Every Volunteer helps families build strength, stability and independence
ReStore volunteers work in the store and donation center learning valuable retail skills. Volunteers help us keep our full-time staff requirements at a minimum while growing the ReStore. Volunteering at ReStore is fun and will help you perfect skills, build relationships and experience amazing teamwork with other members of your community.
Current Volunteer Needs:
Customer Evangelizers – We’re talking to YOU! Help stock shelves, work the register, display merchandise and evangelize the ReStore by telling customers what it’s all about.
Donation Ambassadors – We’re talking to YOU! Help our donation crew gather great stuff from donors – on the truck or at the store. Help us clean, fix and prepare donations for the store.
Special Cases
Court-Ordered Community Service – Speak with a store manager
Rehabilitation and Work Training Programs – Speak with a store manager
Deconstruction – Speak with a store manager about helping us lift and load special projects
Shifts are available Tuesday through Saturday either 9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm (4 hour minimum).
Meet the ultimate, multi-tasking volunteer Kathy Hoffman. Kathy works in ReStore as a cashier, pricing specialist, project specialist…whatever is needed. In addition she sits on the affiliate’s board of directors and heads our ReStore steering committee.
“ReStore volunteers are an amazing group of people who work hard and have fun,” says Kathy. “We strive to constantly improve customer service and the total experience with ReStore, since it translates directly into growing our housing efforts for Habitat for Humanity in the community.”
