Pre-development work has begun at our next Fairfield building site, located at the corner of Missouri and Taylor Streets.
Purchased in 2001 with CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funds, this lot is being sub-divided into 3 parcels, 2 which will soon become new single-story homes for Habitat families and one which will be developed by Hanley Construction and sold as a market-rate house.
Work is nearing completion of the modification of the Mies/Rassin home in American Canyon, so that Eric Mies can return home from the VA hospital where he has lived ever since a hang-gliding accident left him paralyzed almost 3 years ago. Read more.
We send our thanks to the 31 new supporters of our work in Napa County who donated a total of $958.23 to our affiliate during the 2 months of the 2013 Give!Guide campaign. Overall, this first-ever effort by Napa Valley CanDo raised almost $95,000 by encouraging new donors to give to one or more of the 40 select Napa non-profits who were chosen by CanDo to be part of this inaugural “giving” effort.
