Celebration of Support
On January 30th, we held our annual “Celebration of Support” to honor our wonderful volunteers who make it possible for our organization to live out its mission of providing safe, decent and affordable housing. This celebratory event is our way of recognizing the individuals who donate their time, talents, and heart to serve our local community.
The night began with a warm welcome from our Executive Director, Andrew Killeen and Board President, Jack Batchelor. Awards were given to the following honorees:
- Gerry Raycraft – Joseph L. Shilts Award – Recognizing Foundational Support for Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity, named for one of our affiliate’s founders.
- LC Naylor – Sustainability Award – Recognizing Exceptional Long-Term Support Of All Aspects of Our Mission
- Renee Snow – Volunteer of the Year
- Marge Nelson & Angela Orr – Office Volunteers of the Year
- Rick Johnson & Roger Carr – Construction Volunteers of the Year
- Barbara Montany & Robbin Westfall – ReStore Volunteers of the Year
We also recognized three organizations that made contributions to the Dixon Veterans project, with whom we could not have accomplished what we did without them. They are Vaca Valley Excavating and Trucking, Recology and Case Electric. Congratulations to all the honorees and thank you for all you do! We also want to thank Olive Garden in Vacaville for catering the event with hot and delicious food!
