Double Donor Spotlight: Marge Nelson & Angela Orr
Marge Nelson (pictured on the left), has been volunteering with Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity (SNHfH) in the administrative office for nine years. After she retired, she wanted to do something that kept her connected with people, but also helped the community. Marge’s husband volunteered at the ReStore, which got her interested in the mission of Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity.
“I can think of nothing better than to contribute to helping people have an affordable place to live. The actions of the staff and all the volunteers, regardless of where they work or volunteer, give a real sense of community and family. And that’s what we do everyday, help families in the community.” – Marge Nelson
Angela Orr (pictured on the right), has been volunteering in the SNHfH office and helping with events for 10 years. Angela was already a Habitat donor for 30 years and after retiring she got connected as a volunteer after visiting a Habitat booth at a local garden show.
“I love SNHFH and all that we do. I admire our volunteers for giving selflessly to all of our endeavors. Habitat is a family but so are the volunteers.” – Angela Orr
Thank you Marge and Angela for your dedication to our Habitat volunteer family – we are grateful for you both!
