Homes, Hope, & Harmony: A Record-Breaking Success
Despite the rain, it was a packed house at the Vacaville Opera House for Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity’s Homes, Hope, & Harmony event on February 1st! The energy in the room was electric as supporters came together for an unforgettable evening of generosity, celebration, and community spirit—all for local families in need of safe, affordable homeownership. Thanks to our incredible sponsors, attendees, and donors, we raised over $100,000, making this the most successful fundraising event in our affiliate’s history!
“This year’s sold-out event was a testament to the generosity of our supporters and the impact we can make when we come together,” said Andrew Killeen, CEO of Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity. “Every dollar raised will help build homes for local families, and we are thrilled to soon break ground on Victory Gardens and Harmony Village—two transformative housing developments in Vacaville.”
A special thank you goes to BMO, our Presenting Sponsor, and all event sponsors (listed below) for their generous support in making this event possible. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Lindsey of BackDoor Bistro, live music, and an interactive puzzle station, where they helped “build” a home—symbolizing the power of collaboration and the Habitat model of partnership housing. The highlight of the evening was the spirited live auction, featuring special experiences in wine, travel, and cuisine, as well as seven delicious desserts that sparked friendly (and competitive!) bidding wars. One of the most unique auction items was an adorable, handcrafted Hobbit Playhouse, built by our very own Habitat construction team.
To all who attended, donated, and bid so generously—thank you! Your support is changing lives and making the dream of homeownership a reality for families in our community. We can’t wait to continue this momentum as we break ground on Victory Gardens (14-homes) and Harmony Village (10 homes) in the months and years ahead. Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for being our partner on this journey.
