Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Volunteers Making a Difference in Their Community!
On November 10th we had a great crew of 12 from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom come out, roll up their sleeves and spend the day on one of Solano Napa Habitat for Humanity’s(SNHfH) home rehabilitation projects on Cortland Ave. in Vallejo. Team members worked side by sidewith SNHfH construction leads to complete the landscaping for the home, including laying sod in the backyard, installing drip irrigation lines and planting approximately 50 plants. They even spread the gravel on the back path and gave the yard a polished look with the laying of many yards of bark chips.
Inside, the Six Flags crew installed closet doors, sinks, faucets and bathtub plumbing trim. This marks the second time Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has volunteered their time to SNHfH on this project. A special thank you to all of these wonderful volunteers. Your efforts not only provide decent affordable housing to families in need they help revitalize our community one home at a time.
