Western Region Conference
In April, a team of eight board and staff members from our Solano-Napa affiliate traveled to Portland, Oregon, to attend the sold-out 2025 Western Region Conference, a biennial event that brings together Habitat affiliates from across California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii. With the theme “Framing Brighter Futures,” the conference focused on building not just homes, but hope, resilience, and community through innovation, collaboration, and shared best practices. Our team had an inspiring time connecting with peers, gaining new tools, and exploring ways to strengthen our local impact through housing justice, sustainable growth, and a people-centered culture.
A major highlight was seeing our very own COO, Deanna Mott, featured as a panelist in a workshop titled Power in Numbers: Harnessing Shared Data for Impact, Advocacy, and Growth. The panel shared how collaborative, statewide data efforts in California are helping Habitat affiliates improve fundraising, strategic planning, and advocacy. Attendees left with practical tools and a deeper understanding of how data can be used to measure impact, tell compelling stories, and amplify the voices of those we serve. It was a proud moment for our affiliate to see Deanna participating in this conversation on a regional stage.
The Western Region Conference was a powerful reminder that our mission thrives on partnership. With over 1,300 homes built or rehabbed and more than 5,100 repairs completed in the past five years across the region, the collective strength of our Habitat network is undeniable. We returned from Portland energized and full of ideas, ready to apply what we learned as we continue to build homes, hope, and community right here in Solano and Napa Counties. Together, we are truly framing brighter futures!
