BUILD RELATIONSHIPS – ReStore volunteers work together to grow individual skills, build relationships and grow ReStore
ReStore’s volunteer program is focused on helping our volunteers develop their skills and experience while working at ReStore. This focus starts with matching your personality, experience and initial skills to the best ReStore volunteer position for you to succeed.
It continues with ongoing training and hands-on assistance from ReStore employees and other volunteers. You’ll learn new skills and gain valuable personal experience when you volunteer with us.
We can make this claim because of the amazing volunteers that you’ll build relationships with while your here. You’ll immediately notice that ReStore attracts talented, passionate and caring volunteers from a variety of backgrounds. The best part of volunteering at ReStore is the people you meet and the relationships you build.
ReStore’s Building Volunteer Excellence Approach
Meet volunteer Rich Schwab
For the past several years, Rich has co-chaired the ReStore Marketing Committee which is responsible for marketing strategy and tactics to shoppers, donors and volunteers. Rich has been a developer of ReStore’s social media efforts, advertising, website development and the ReStore Annual Marketing Plan. He is working hard to help ReStore reach it’s target audiences so the store can reach it’s sales goals.
“It’s been an interesting challenge starting from scratch to develop a marketing approach that can keep pace with the needs of the store as it strives to reach aggressive sales growth,” says Rich. “While it’s been a lot of work, it’s also helped me develop my skills, network and make great friendships with the volunteers at Habitat and ReStore.” Rich looks forward to meeting and working with you as a ReStore volunteer!
